Dianne BoateDianne Boate has been taking photographs since 1985. The late Joseph Dee of Brooks Camera lent her a three position zoom Minolta camera to take on a trip to wine regions of Europe. Six months later, in 1986, the results appeared in her first show at the Joseph Dee Museum.

Dianne feels that you should pay close attention to your subject, have an emotional response to it and concentrate on what you are doing. She is a minimalist in the sense that she rarely takes more than one picture of any object or scene.

The outstanding pictures from Dianne's recent exhibitions testify to a lot of traveling, started in the late 1960's when Dianne was on the staff of the original Dating Game television show. When the show went nighttime, the dates were trips all over the world; everyone became a chaperone.

Last year, Dianne exhibited her work at the ACT Gallery in San Francisco and in January and February of this year, exhibited her photographs of Iceland at Enrico's in San Francisco.
